A driver accumulates a ban at 12 points within a 12-month period. Fortunately for Bearman, two of those points will expire during the Montreal weekend, slightly easing the pressure. Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll also sees two points clear from his current six-point tally at his home race.
Other drivers holding significant points include Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli with five, and McLaren's Oscar Piastri with four. Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, and Alex Albon each carry three points. Interestingly, both Cadillac drivers, Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez, currently hold zero penalty points, along with Fernando Alonso and Lando Norris. With points rolling off throughout the year, every on-track incident will be under scrutiny as drivers aim to avoid a crucial weekend on the sidelines.
