Williams Team Principal James Vowles has laid out an ambitious timeline, targeting 2030 for the historic British squad to return to F1 championship contention. Vowles revealed a comprehensive top-to-bottom overhaul of the Grove-based team's infrastructure is underway, aiming to establish the solid foundations necessary for consistent, high-performance operations.

He noted a previous lack of structured systems led to constant reactive work, but new processes in engineering, aerodynamics, and manufacturing are changing that. Vowles believes this "engine-like" rebuild is gaining momentum, allowing Williams to better utilize resources and extract more performance. While acknowledging they didn't get everything right in winter testing, Vowles expects the team to fight for points within a few races and be in a much stronger position by the end of the current season. This long-term vision aims to restore Williams to its former glory on the grid.
