The 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix is off the calendar. F1 confirmed the cancellation on March 15, pulling the plug on what would have been round four of the season as the war in Iran made the Middle East swing untenable. The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix went with it, and no replacement events have been announced.

Bahrain was scheduled for the April 10-12 weekend at the 5.4-kilometre Sakhir circuit, where Oscar Piastri took the win in 2025. F2 and F3 were slated to support. All of it shelved.

The FIA says it will "assess forthcoming events" across the region for both F1 and WEC, which leaves the spring schedule in limbo and the championship potentially jumping straight from Japan to Miami. For American fans, that puts an even brighter spotlight on the May trip to Hard Rock Stadium — suddenly a much earlier referendum on the title picture than anyone planned.
