Gasly was one of five drivers penalized for exceeding the pit lane speed, but the only one hit twice—once by 0.1kph and a second time by 0.4kph. Mercedes' George Russell also received a penalty and hinted at a "software problem." Alpine executive Flavio Briatore believes the widespread penalties among different teams strengthen their case. However, Right of Review challenges historically have a low success rate, at just 28%. Alpine faces an uphill battle to reinstate Gasly’s P3.
