BORTOLETO DISAPPOINTED TO MISS OUT ON POINTS IN AUSTRIA

Audi’s Gabriel Bortoleto finished a frustrating P11 at the Austrian Grand Prix, narrowly missing points despite believing he drove his “best race.” This marks the team’s third consecutive P11 finish, extending their points drought since the season opener in Australia. Bortoleto, one of only two drivers to start on soft tires, gained on Pierre Gasly early but couldn't match the pace of the Racing Bulls, who proved too strong.

He acknowledged the aerodynamic upgrades brought to Austria worked well, leaving him optimistic about future power unit improvements. Teammate Nico Hulkenberg also finished outside the points in P12, expressing frustration with their late first-stop strategy, which made progress difficult through lapped traffic. Hulkenberg felt Audi's race pace was competitive but a poor starting position hindered their charge. The team now shifts focus to Silverstone, a Sprint weekend, where Hulkenberg looks to replicate last year's podium success and finally break into the points.
