F1 has locked in six sprint weekends for 2026, and the American calendar slot stays put: Miami keeps its sprint for a third straight year, joining China as the only returning host.

The format expands to fresh ground in Canada, the Netherlands, Singapore and — finally — Silverstone, which hasn't run a sprint since the concept debuted in 2021. Belgium, Austin, Brazil and Qatar all lose theirs. That's a notable demotion for COTA, which trades its Saturday showcase to Miami's exclusive US sprint claim.

Singapore's edition is expected to run as a twilight race, and Zandvoort's sprint doubles as a farewell with the Dutch GP off the calendar after 2026. Six remains the cap while teams absorb the new power-unit rules, but Stefano Domenicali is already floating up to 12 sprints for 2027, plus reverse-grid talk that's died on the vine before.

Miami fans, mark the calendar: May 1-3.
