Cadillac CEO Dan Towriss dismissed reports linking Ferrari junior Rafael Camara to a 2027 race seat, calling the rumours "unsubstantiated"—then immediately hedged. "Things can always change," he said, noting no lineup changes are "planned at the moment" but stopping short of ruling them out entirely.

The speculation stems from Camara's breakout F2 campaign. The reigning F3 champion sits third in the standings, 22 points behind leader Nikola Tsolov, with four of the last six pole positions and two wins. Motorsport.com reported at the Hungaroring that Cadillac is tracking the Brazilian as the team's Ferrari power unit relationship deepens.

If Camara does land the seat, Valtteri Bottas—described as "slightly slower" than teammate Sergio Perez—would be the likely casualty. Towriss praised both veterans but didn't commit to either beyond this season. For an American team still finding its footing in F1, swapping experience for youth carries real risk. The hedge in Towriss's answer suggests Cadillac is at least weighing it.
