McLaren threw away eight points in Singapore when Lando Norris stuffed it up the inside of Oscar Piastri on the final lap of the sprint, spinning his teammate and dropping the team from nine points to one. The stewards ruled it a racing incident — neither driver predominantly at fault — but team principal Andrea Stella wasn't having it. "Seeing two McLarens making contact is simply not acceptable."

This marks the third time Norris and Piastri have tangled, following clashes in Canada and Singapore last year. Norris apologized but defended the move: "I had the right to go for the space." Piastri kept it short — "those kind of things can't happen." Stella promised private conversations and laid down the line: no ego, no driver is bigger than the team. With McLaren out of the win fight, they need every point. Giving them away to yourselves is how you lose championships.
