At 20 years and 61 days old on race day, Antonelli would beat Vettel's mark by over three years. He'd also end a 73-year Italian championship drought dating back to Alberto Ascari in 1953, and become the first Italian champion not driving for an Italian team. This is only his second season.
Antonelli has already claimed youngest polesitter and youngest championship leader this year. He won at Monza, the first Italian to do so in six decades. Now he gets his coronation shot in Texas, where the math is tight but the moment could be historic.
