Miami and Vegas are doing the work. F1's first social impact report shows the American races leading grassroots outreach—Miami's MIA in Schools brought 21 academy students trackside and hired 15 local vendors, 10 of them women-owned. Vegas launched a karting camp for 240 Southern Nevada teenagers through the Boys & Girls Clubs.
The bigger commitment is £2.4 million renewed for engineering scholarships: 10 full-ride spots each year through 2028/29 at Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, and Strathclyde. The program has backed 48 students since 2021, covering tuition and living costs for underrepresented backgrounds. Overall, 500,000 young people across 71 countries accessed F1's educational programs last year, including 150,000 in the Learning Sectors STEM initiative. One Oxford scholar said the scholarship meant "I have been able to focus on my course without having to worry about whether I can afford my next meal." The American races build the fanbase while the scholarships feed the grid's future talent.
