Max Verstappen won the Singapore sprint after George Russell handed him victory with a lap-one crash. Russell grabbed the lead at the start in mixed conditions—a downpour soaked parts of Marina Bay while others stayed dry—but lost it at the final corner when he clipped the kerb and spun into the wall. A half-hour delay and two formation laps couldn't save drivers from the treacherous surface.

Lewis Hamilton inherited second and kept Verstappen within 1.4 seconds through the middle stint, but the Red Bull pulled clear once tyre management became critical. Inters shredded on the drying track. Charles Leclerc nursed destroyed fronts to third, losing two seconds a lap late.

The real drama hit on the final lap: Lando Norris lunged past Oscar Piastri, the McLarens collided, and both spun. Piastri retired, Norris dropped to eighth. Eight points torched. Kimi Antonelli inherited fourth, Liam Lawson fifth. McLaren's championship math just got harder.
