His race engineer Peter Bonnington echoed the mindset that's produced eight wins and 14 podiums this year: one race at a time, no title math. The Italian called a championship his childhood dream but vowed to "finish the job properly" first.

If the stars align Sunday, Antonelli becomes F1's youngest champion ever. On American soil, the title door opens for the first time.
