The Marina Bay Street Circuit hosts its first-ever sprint weekend, and the McLaren driver doubts the format will deliver much on a track built for follow-the-leader racing. "I don't think it's going to be the best sprint race you'll ever see," he said, though he welcomes the challenge of dialing in a street circuit with just one practice session.

That compressed schedule could play to his strengths. Norris has been McLaren's sprint ace this season—won Miami, landed four more podiums—and he's confident he can find the limit faster than most when track time is scarce. The narrow layout offers minimal overtaking zones, so qualifying will decide it.

It's the final sprint weekend of 2026, meaning one last shot at a 33-point haul. If Singapore's tight confines turn qualifying into the race, Norris's one-lap pace could be the difference.
