Lando Norris has locked in his future at McLaren through 2030, with options to extend beyond. The reigning world champion announced the deal to Woking factory staff during the team's family day, capping a nine-year journey from junior driver to the top of the sport.
The extension adds at least four years to his previous contract, which ran through 2027. Norris has 13 wins, 18 poles, and the 2025 drivers' title — McLaren's first in 17 years — plus back-to-back constructors' championships in 2024 and 2025. He's started 2026 strong with wins in Hungary and Zandvoort.
McLaren gifted him the championship-winning MCL39 as part of the announcement. With Oscar Piastri signed through 2028, the papaya squad has locked down its driver lineup through the end of the decade.
The deal cements Norris as a one-team lifer and keeps McLaren's strongest pairing intact while Ferrari and Red Bull retool. If the current car holds up, 2026 could be another long season for the chasing pack.
