Ferrari's radio discipline collapsed at Zandvoort when Charles Leclerc ignored two direct pit orders on lap 42, leaving Lewis Hamilton trapped behind his slower teammate. The team initially told Leclerc to pit "opposite" George Russell's Mercedes on lap 41, then reversed when Russell stayed out. But when Ferrari called Leclerc in early on lap 42, he pushed back, arguing it would hand track position to Russell. Race engineer Bryan Bozzi repeated the instruction—Leclerc stayed out anyway, finally pitting a lap later after a third command.
Hamilton's frustration boiled over. "We're just losing time," he said mid-stint, then delivered a sarcastic "Big waste of time guys, good job" once Leclerc cleared. Team principal Frederic Vasseur downplayed the mess afterward, claiming they'd only lost "one second" while attempting a no-stop gamble for Hamilton. The result: Russell third, Hamilton fourth, Leclerc fifth. The intra-team coordination issues won't ease Ferrari's constructor fight with McLaren.
