Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri made contact on the final lap of Saturday's Singapore Sprint, ending Piastri's race and dropping Norris to eighth. The McLaren teammates were running fourth and fifth behind Charles Leclerc's struggling Ferrari when Norris dove inside at Turn 5. He pulled alongside but backed out as the gap closed — too late. His left-front clipped Piastri's right-rear, spinning both. Piastri hit the wall and retired; Norris limped home. The stewards took no action.

Norris defended the move. "It was a big gap, I went for it, I have the right to do that." Piastri was measured: "I didn't see him at the apex. I'll have a look." Both were managing worn intermediates on a drying track after a pre-race downpour, bottled up behind Leclerc with nowhere to go. The team will sort it internally, but the tension is real — and with both championships still in play, McLaren can't afford self-inflicted wounds like this.
