NORRIS EXTENDS MCLAREN CONTRACT UNTIL 2030

Lando Norris is staying at McLaren through 2030, locking in the reigning champion through the end of the decade. The announcement came during the team's factory open day, capping a run that delivered McLaren's first drivers' title in 17 years and consecutive constructors' championships in 2024 and 2025.

Norris has been with McLaren since his 2019 debut, scoring his first win in 2024 and claiming 13 victories across 163 starts—the longest single-team tenure in F1 history. With Oscar Piastri contracted through 2028, McLaren has both seats locked down deep into the decade.

The deal cements McLaren's resurgence from backmarker to championship outfit. Norris gets one of his 2025 title-winning chassis as part of the agreement. With both drivers committed and the team operationally sharp, McLaren's papaya era looks built to last. The question now is whether they can defend the crown in 2027.
