Lando Norris turned pole into victory at the Red Bull Ring, but only after surviving 70 laps of bumper-to-bumper pressure from teammate Oscar Piastri. The championship leader threw everything at Norris, even briefly taking the lead before nearly rear-ending him into Turn 4. Norris held firm, taking the flag by 2.695 seconds for his third win of 2025 and first since Monaco.
The title math got friendlier for Norris the moment the lights went out. Kimi Antonelli locked up into Turn 3 on Lap 1 and torpedoed Max Verstappen, ending the Dutchman's day before it began. Antonelli earned a three-place grid penalty for Silverstone.
Charles Leclerc led the upgraded Ferraris home in third, with Lewis Hamilton fourth. Haas's Esteban Ocon grabbed a point in tenth, Ollie Bearman just outside in 11th.
Silverstone next, and the McLaren civil war is officially the season's main event.
