Haas rookie Oliver Bearman has opened a bike shop and cafe in the hills above Monaco with a group of friends, turning his cycling obsession into a side business during his first full F1 season. The 21-year-old Brit told the Beyond The Grid podcast the venture is "a passion project" - the shop caters to the area's cycling community, serving house-made banana bread and cakes alongside what Bearman promises is quality coffee, though he admits he doesn't drink it himself. He rides the local mountains regularly with Williams' Carlos Sainz and Tour de France legend Tadej Pogačar.
The off-track project comes as Bearman's rookie campaign has hit turbulence. After a strong 17-point haul in the opening two rounds, the Haas driver has suffered three DNFs and a string of finishes outside the points, leaving him 13th with 18 points. The American team needs answers on track more than good banana bread in the Alps.
