Max Verstappen made it a Singapore sweep Saturday, taking pole for the grand prix after dominating the sprint. The Red Bull driver's 1:31.373 held up as the benchmark, with Ferrari's Charles Leclerc just 0.054s back and Lewis Hamilton rounding out the top three in the second Ferrari.

Kimi Antonelli qualified fourth in the upgraded Mercedes, ahead of the McLaren duo who collided in the sprint—Lando Norris fifth, Oscar Piastri seventh, split by George Russell's Mercedes. Russell drops to the back with an engine penalty, promoting Pierre Gasly to effective seventh.

The American teams struggled. Haas got both cars knocked out in Q2, Ollie Bearman 12th and Esteban Ocon 13th. Cadillac fared worse: Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas dead last among drivers who set times. Red Bull's Isack Hadjar never even managed a clean lap, grinding to a halt twice in Q1.

Verstappen's margin over Ferrari looks thin on paper, but he's owned this track all weekend.
