He finished his rookie 2025 season three points behind teammate Oliver Bearman, a gap that has widened in 2026. Ocon has blamed car issues for his struggles, including front tire lock-ups at the Canadian Grand Prix. However, his one point across the first five races of 2026 pales against Bearman’s 17, as Bearman effectively carries Haas to seventh in the championship. Komatsu is looking for two equally strong drivers to push the team forward. Unless Ferrari makes a surprise move for Bearman, his spot is safe.
