Williams will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a public display in London featuring six championship-winning and record-breaking cars. The "W50 Live" event runs February 11-28 at 26 Leake Street, showcasing machinery from Piquet's 1987 title, Mansell's 1992 championship, and Villeneuve's 1997 crown alongside the team's first F1 car and two speed-record holders: Montoya's 2003 FW25 and Bottas's 2016 FW38, which still holds F1's outright top-speed mark at 234.9 mph. The team's 2027 challenger will carry the FW50 designation, skipping FW49 to mark the half-century since Williams Grand Prix Engineering's debut in 1977. The anniversary push includes fan voting on a one-off livery for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone—a full branding takeover covering Albon and Sainz's racesuits, garage, and car—plus limited-edition merchandise including a W50 Monopoly set. Tickets go on pre-sale October 26 for W Club members, with general sale following October 29.
