Guenther Steiner says Ferrari's problem isn't one fixable flaw — it's a stack of small ones, and that's why Maranello can't simply patch its way back to McLaren.
After Lewis Hamilton's podium in China had John Elkann declaring Ferrari "back," Miami told a different story. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri rolled in second and third on the back of a heavy McLaren upgrade package, while Hamilton settled for sixth and Charles Leclerc dropped to eighth after a 20-second penalty.
Steiner's read: the power unit is solid, but the car eats its tyres as the stint goes long — a downforce tell. They start races competitive and slide backwards from there.
"Just give yourself time to announce things," the former Haas boss warned. "Get there and be there, not just get there."
Imola and Monaco are next. Ferrari needs answers fast, or McLaren turns this into a runaway before summer.
